Description

Most of the detail is lost at this size. But it is a bit more impressive when viewed at original size. This one took around two weeks to finish.

I've seen this somewhere else, on another gallery of yours on the net, can't remember where. I don't know if I commented there, but I'll comment again!

I love this painting. The elven woman in the front is especially impressive looking. Post more stuff!

Probably at Epilogue Andrea, I've enjoyed Chris's work there for some time. He has quite a large collection building there. Chris, how did you make this and was it for an RPG game of some sort? Keep up the great work, and that insane amount of detail you jam into every piece.

Woo! Nice! Almost looks 3D the way you shaded it! I especially like the sky!

That's fantastic! Oh, I can't see the cord of the bow. Maybe it's only visible on an even larger size?

Heh, it's sad that the internet always seems to be so much more friendly to the portrait oriented painting than the landscape. It's a shame. I really prefer landscape orientation. I, too, have seen this elsewhere. Nice image. :)

I've admired your brand of fantasy art where ever I've found it, and I hope it won't be long before you're amongst the elite here +8

Nice detail on armors, but the dragonflame could be a little
more dynamic.. Don't like that static flame.

I think there are some main lights... the sun have to be below the clouds if it could light the mountains that way - but it's a fantasy scene, so don't matter about realism.

The colors.. Hmm... For me, cold and warm seems to bite a little bit...
I feel no real harmony in this picture, but it's not of the war scenario.

I don't know why, but I don't really like this piece of art of you.
I hope you are not upset of this, it's just my personal impression :)

Nevertheless you are a great artist.

i agree that the dragonflame could be more dynamic. A lot of focus and space is given to portrait the dragon so i feel it could be done better and given more life to it.

The character could bring more life, now they pretty static(?), they don't really bring on the emotion and the spirit of protecting their home.

These are just my personal opinions and i hope you won't get upset by it. :)

Anyway, I really like the style of this illustration.

super cool.. reminds me of Gondolin from Silmarillion, except for that dwarf. Those roofs are maybe even too smooth :p

Wow, great work even though aragorn and legolas look a bit different they still look good. I even think you did the hair of legolas nicer than it was in the movie. Legolas hair looked to much like a wig. You have managed to make ik look more natural.
